This guided tour begins with a thorough training conducted by our expert guides. Once all riders are comfortable with their Segways, the tour will begin down a paved path to the Lagoon. This tour covers 3.5 miles on a paved trail and will take approximately 1.5 hours.
Cost: $45.00 per person, in addition to estate admission.

Off-Road Segway Tours

This guided tour consists of paved and off-road surfaces. After a very thorough instruction and off-road training exercises, your expert guide will lead the way down a paved path to the Lagoon. From the Lagoon, the tour continues on hard-packed dirt and gravel surfaces. Before making your way back, you will take a break and enjoy a wonderful view of Biltmore House. This tour covers 5.5 miles on paved and off-road trails and will take approximately 2.5 hours.
Cost: $75.00 per person, in addition to estate admission.

Biltmore House Architect’s Tour

On this guided 60-minute tour, get a closer look at the design and construction of Biltmore House by going into areas not on the regular house visit; plus enjoy stunning views and photo opportunities from the rooftop and balconies.

See how Biltmore House functioned, past and present, and learn about the work of the domestic servants during this 60-minute guided tour, which takes you into unrestored rooms and mechanical areas not open to the public on the regular house visit.

This new guided tour spurs your imagination about staying at Biltmore with the Vanderbilts as your hosts. Tour bedrooms not on the regular house visit outfitted with clothing and accessories from the 1900s as you hear stories from your host about customs of the time and the fascinating people who visited Biltmore.

Premium Biltmore House Tour

Legacy of the Land Tour

Take a motorcoach tour of the estate and learn about the history of the land, structures, and former residents. Visit areas not usually open to guests.

Behind-the-Scenes Guided Tours at Antler Hill Village & Winery

Winery Production Tour

Daily: 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Guests are guided on a walking tour of the Winery production areas. See and learn the difference between making red wine and white wine, as well as the bottling process. The tour ends in the Champagne finishing room where guests learn how true French style sparkling wines are made. 45 minute program. Please arrive at the Winery Portal in Antler Hill Village 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled program time. Tickets must be purchased prior to event.
Cost: $8.00 per person

Specialty Biltmore Wine Experience

Red Wine & Chocolate Seminar at the Winery

Daily: 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Discover why chocolate and red wine is a match made in heaven. Please register at the Winery Portal area in Antler Hill Village.

Biltmore Bubbles Tour at the Winery

Biltmore Bubbles is a 45 minute program that will allow Estate guests to experience the process by which our sparkling wines are made. Guests will tour the champagne bottling room, learn how sparkling wines are made and taste all six of Biltmore’s sparkling wines.
Cost: $18.00 per person. Guests must be 21 years of age to attend.

WNC NATURE CENTER

Exhibiting over 60 species of animals native to Southern Appalachia. Exhibits include: Appalachian Station – which highlights the diversity of the Smoky Mountains; Appalachian Predators ñ Life on the Edge which features red and gray wolves, bobcats, cougars and coyotes; The North Carolina Farm – featuring domestic animals commonly found on Appalachian Farms; and the popular Life Underground exhibit. ASHEVILLE HOT AIR BALLOON RIDES

(Approximately 10 miles from Asheville)

The oldest and largest hot air balloon company in Western North Carolina flies in Candler and Asheville across the Hominy Valley amidst the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains. Cold Mountain, Mt. Pisgah and Mt. Mitchell loom in the background. It will astound you! They have six FAA licensed commercial pilots.

Cost: A shared flight is $235 per person and a private flight is $600 per couple and includes complimentary Chateau Biltmore champagne. The entire process will take 2 1/2 hours.

MOVING SIDEWALK TOURS

The Botanical Gardens at Asheville

This 10-acre nonprofit nature preserve (next to UNCA) is dedicated to preserving and displaying the native flora of the Southern Appalachians. Garden-themed gift shop.

The Days in the Gardens Plant Sale is usually held the first weekend in May.
